Stop by Sammamish City Hall on Wednesday, July 30, to check out the giant black floating tubes that will be put up as part of a special art installation.

The Sammamish Arts Commission is sponsoring the "Warmth, Giant Black Toobs" installation, created by artist Susan Robb, for Wednesday's Farmers Market. It will be put up early in the day Wednesday and can be enjoyed through the market hours from 4 to 8 p.m.

The installation is made up of black plastic garbage bags, meant to represent the huge amounts of consumer plastics that have been found in the oceans every year — and the cycle of American consumption and waste.
