Police hope an arrest warrant will help track down the robber who attempted to steal two flat screen TVs from Fred Meyer and injured a security guard in the process.

Police believe they know who the suspect is, but have no leads as to where he might be now. His last known address was no longer a current address.

Police have now submitted the case to the prosecutor so that the prosecutor can file an arrest warrant, Cmdr. Stan Conrad said.

On July 26, the suspect allegedly attempted to steal two flat screen TVs, by loading them up on a cart and trying to leave the store. Security tried to stop him, when he began flailing his arms. At that point, a security guard attempted to grab him and was nicked with a small knife that the suspect had in his hands. The guard had not noticed the knife.

The suspect fled the Fred Meyer, at 6100 East Lake Sammamish Parkway and the TVs were recovered at the scene.

Security officers identified the suspect through a crime bulletin photo, Conrad said.
