Eastside Catholic School is preparing for a significant change in leadership, with the news that President Jim Kubacki will leave the school at the end of the academic year, June, 2010.
The announcement of Kubacki's departure follows the decision by High School Principal Greg Marsh to step down from his role at the end of the school year also.
Eastside Catholic's Director of Marketing and Communications Patti Finley told The Reporter last week that Kubacki would return to his home town of Cleveland, Ohio.
He has been offered a position with the St. Edwards School in Cleveland.
The new position represents an opportunity for Kubacki to reunite with family and friends. He also has a son in college in Ohio.
Kubacki has been with Eastside Catholic since 2001, and was instrumental in the school's move from Bellevue to its new campus in Sammamish in September, 2008.
Finley said the school's Board of Trustees had already hired a recruiter, and would begin narrowing down a list of candidates for Kubacki's position in early 2010.
