Skyline quarterback and BYU recruit Jake Heaps was named MVP of the Elite 11 quarterback camp last week, placing him among recent winners Matthew Stafford and Aaron Murray.

"It means a whole lot to me," Heaps told ESPN's JC Shurburtt. "Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to come and be an Elite 11 quarterback. I never dreamed I would be the MVP."

Heaps also won three other awards at the invitation-only event, including: Most Vocal, Most Likely to Play Early and Highest Football IQ.

Other top quarterbacks in attendance included Tyler Bray, Robert Bolden and Nick Montana — the University of Washington recruit from Oaks Christian, who will face Heaps in a nationally broadcasted game on Sept. 18.
