Girls basketball roundup | Issaquah routes Roosevelt to stay atop KingCo

Issaquah led from start to finish as it cruised to a 51-25 home victory over Roosevelt Wednesday night.
The Eagles scored double-digit points in every quarter, and were led by Maddey Pflaumer's game-high 17 points. Blaire Brady scored 10 and Mackenzie Schiltz had eight.
The victory improved Issaquah's record to 5-0 in KingCo, and 8-1 overall, setting up a battle with Newport for the top spot this Friday. The Eagles are ranked No. 4 in the latest Reporter Newspaper state basketball poll, while Newport is ranked No. 2. The game tips off at 6:30 p.m. at Eastlake High School.
Eastlake slams Bothell
Eastlake had four players in double-figure points as it rolled to a 76-26 home victory over Bothell Wednesday night.
The Wolves, who were up 47-19 at halftime, were led by sophomore Kendra Morrison's 17 points. Alyssa Charlston scored 15, Mercedes Bass had 12 and Katy Ainslie had 10 for Eastlake.
The Wolves improved to 2-3 in KingCo and 6-3 overall with the victory. They face Garfield at 6:30 p.m., Friday, on the road.
Skyline downs Lake Washington
Skyline used big runs in the second and third quarters to beat Lake Washington 64-47 Wednesday night.
The Spartans outscored the Kangaroos 32-17 in the two quarters, led by freshman Rachel Shim's 16 points. Nine other Skyline players contributed points in the victory.
The Spartans moved to 2-3 in league and 5-4 overall. They face Redmond at 6:30 p.m., Friday on the road.
Crusaders explode in second half for win
Eastside Catholic, which trailed at halftime, erupted for 40 second-half points as it beat West Seattle 56-40 Wednesday night.
The Crusaders were down 22-16 at the half before their offense found a groove.
Michaela O'Rourke and Sarah Hill scored 16 points apiece, and Lauren Johnson contributed 11.
Eastside improved to 3-3 in Metro play and 6-4 overall. They face Nathan Hale at 6:15 p.m., Friday on the road.
