Gemini Fish Market in Issaquah was named the best fish market west of the Cascades in King5’s “Best of Western Washington” competition. Gemini, which last won the title in 2010, had come in second in voting the past three years, years that saw Pike Place take home the top spot.

“[Gemini] truly care about quality. No theatrics needed to get my vote,” one anonymous voter wrote. “Just great seafood at a fair price, and friendly professional service. Thanks for respecting the fish, keeping it on ice, and not flying through the air. Best leave that to the birds.”

Gemini, open in Issaquah since 2009, specializes in providing fresh, sustainable seafood without the “theatrics” of other markets, according to Gemini Fish Market representative Eliza Chan.

Gemini is located at 1410 N.W. Gilman Blvd., in Issaquah.
