Tiger Mountain Winery of Issaquah received a double-gold Grand Award of Excellence for its 2012 Cuvée Noir (a Rhône-Style blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault) at the 2014 Seattle Wine Awards.

The awards were held April 13-14 at the Arctic Club Hotel.

The event featured a tasting panel of wine professionals who tasted and evaluated hundreds of wines in a single blind format (meaning grape variety or wine style is known, but not vintage, price or producer).

The panel recognized the top wines with double gold, gold, silver and bronze grand awards of excellence.

This latest recognition follows three other awards for this same winery that include: double gold medal at the Great Northwest Wine Competition April 2; gold medal “Best of Class” at the Riverside International Wine Competition May 8 and silver medal, Sunset Magazine, June 3.

Tiger Mountain Winery is a small family run business producing small batch wines since 2006. Wines are available on-line at TigerMountainWinery.com or at select retail outlets.
