Recycling, composter training coming to Issasquah

September 24, 2012 · Updated 1:36 PM

Master Recycler Composter training is coming to the Eastside. MRC-East is a partnership of the City of Issaquah and Seattle Tilth will equip Eastside residents with the skills and the tools to teach their friends, neighbors, and community members about recycling, back-yard composting, sustainable gardening options, and resource conservation.

Based on Seattle's Master Composter/Soil Builder program, MRC-East participants will receive 28 hours of classroom and hands-on education, including field trips. After completing the course, graduates will spend 20 hours "giving back" by conducting outreach to their community.

For more information, or to apply, visit Seattle Tilth's MRC-East page at http://seattletilth.org/about/masterrecyclercompostereast or call Carey Thornton at 206-366-0451 x 115.
