A free workshop for Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish shoreline property owners, “Voluntary Approaches to Improving Shoreline Habitat,” will be held June 23 on Mercer Island. The workshop is free, however, you do need to pre-register. The purpose of the workshop is to provide information to landowners describing “green shoreline” concepts created to enhance fish and wildlife habitat and improve aesthetic quality of shoreline areas. The workshop will also allow participants to share their thoughts on incentives intended to promote “green shorelines” on Lake Washington and Lake Sammammish.
