Young actors, directors to present West Side Story
December 19, 2011 · Updated 8:43 AM
Village Theatre Kidstage’s Summer Independent will take on a classic this summer, when they produce the musical West Side Story.
The Kidstage production will run July 18–July 25 at the Francis J. Gaudette Theatre in downtown Issaquah.
Set in the mid-1950s on Manhattan’s west side, the ground-breaking West Side Story tells the tale of a rivalry between two teenage gangs of differing ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Summer Independent productions feature student actors from all over the Puget Sound area, and are produced, designed, and directed entirely by young artists.
Tickets, on sale now: $12-$14. For more info: 425-392-2202 or www.villagetheatre.org
