The warm weather of late (today excepted) has got people into the summer mood, and summer means doing fun things outdoors.
King County Parks has put on a range of activities for all ages, including the series of concerts at Marymoor Park.
Next Saturday, July 24, the Marymoor Concert Series features "1964" – The Beatles tribute band which Rolling Stone magazine once called the “best Beatles tribute band in the world.”
Aug. 7, Michael Franti and Spearhead visit the Redmond stage. For tickets and more information, visit www.concertsatmarymoor.com
Marymoor Park will also host a series of film screenings, Movies at Marymoor.
Movies are shown at MacNair Field on a 40-foot-tall inflatable movie screen. Preferred seating for pre-movie activities is $5 per person and children under 5 get in for free. A permit is required to park in Marymoor, which movie-goers can pay for at vending machines located throughout the park.
Following the riotous Austin Powers on July 14, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs will screen on Wednesday, July 21.
Other movies to feature include "The Blind Side," "The Neverending Story," and the all-time classic "The Princess Bride."
