See the horror classic ‘Wait Until Dark’ at Issaquah City Hall

Audrey Hepburn plays Susy, a blind housewife terrorized by criminals after her husband (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) unwittingly brings home a doll stuffed with heroin.

What do you do when you’re beset on all sides by enemies, without the ability to see them?

The city of Issaquah will present the 1967 horror classic “Wait Until Dark” at the city hall building this weekend as part of it’s Second Saturday film series.

Audrey Hepburn plays Susy, a blind housewife terrorized by criminals after her husband (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) unwittingly brings home a doll stuffed with heroin. Alan Arkin gives a chilling performance as a murderous con man intent on obtaining the drugs, even if it means trapping Susy like an animal.

Hepburn was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role and the movie ranked #55 on the American Film Institute’s 100 Years…100 Thrills list.

The film will be presented at 7 p.m. in the Eagle Room of the city hall building, 130 E. Sunset Way Issaquah.
