The annual Sammamish Kiwanis ski and sport swap will be held between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 24, in the Pine Lake Covenant Church’s gym at 1715 228th Ave SE. Bring the used sports equipment you want to sell or donate - ski and snow boarding items and also bikes, soccer and baseball equipment, skateboards, roller blades, racquet sports, golf, sports equipment of all kinds - to the gym on Friday, Oct. 23, between 6:30 and 8 p.m., or from 8-9 a.m. on Saturday, to check it in. Two merchants, Pacific Bicycle Company and Gerk’s Alpine Hut, will also be there with new stock. The income Kiwanis realizes from this sale goes back into the community to support youth activities such as Key Clubs at Skyline and Eastlake high schools, the YMCA and YWCA, Boys and Girls Clubs, scholarships, and other activities. Items that are not sold, along with any money due from sales, can be picked up by their owners at the site until 4 p.m. on Saturday.
