Congratulations to all the students at Maywood Middle School in Renton who over the past few weeks have dedicating much of their spare time to creative pursuits, such as drawing, painting and photography.
It's all part of the Reflections Art Program, a nation-wide initiative that encourages students to create original works of art across a wide range of mediums, from works of fiction, short stories, and music composition, to photography, painting, computer-generated artwork, and even dance choreography.
All the works are tied together by the theme "Beauty is...," encouraging the artists to explore where they believe beauty lies in our world and our society.
Congratulations to all those students who painted, drew, danced and wrote their very best for the contest.
