Issaquah School's board wins state award

The Issaquah School District won an award for having one of the best boards in the state.

They were named among members of 15 other boards for meeting various benchmarks set by the Washington State School Director's Association at its annual conference Nov. 19.

Benchmarks include transparency, vision, employing and supporting quality teachers and evaluating the superintendent.

Board members include Brian Deagle, Jan Colbrese, Marnie Maraldo, Suzanne Weave, and Chad Magendanz.
