Advisory vote on Sammamish community center will go on November ballot

July 13, 2012 · 11:44 AM

The city of Sammamish will place an advisory measure on the November 2012 ballot asking voters if they want a $30 million community center on the Plateau.

As the jurisdiction in charge, the city is responsible for facilitating a “statement in favor” of the ballot measure and a “statement in opposition” to the ballot measure. These statements will be included in the King County Voters Pamphlet and must be submitted to King County Department of Elections no later than Aug. 15.

Those who would like additional information on this process or would like to participate on either the Pro or Con committee can contact Sammamish City Clerk Melonie Anderson at manderson@ci.sammamish.wa.us or 425-295-0511.

For more information on the ballot measure, contact Parks and Recreation Director Jessi Richardson at jrichardson@ci.sammamish.wa.us or 425-295-0500.
