SAMMAMISH POLICE BLOTTER Woman arrested after accident Police arrested a 40-year-old Sammamish woman on the evening of June 17 for investigation of driving under the influence after she hit another car at the intersection of Northeast Fourth Street and 228th Avenue Northeast. She told officers that she was on medication for bipolar disorder and had also taken many Ambien earlier that morning; she stated she knew she had been falling asleep at the wheel. Eastlake vandalized A security officer told police that he arrived at Eastlake High School, 400 228th Ave. N.E. shortly before midnight on June 17, and noticed a large group of kids in the parking lot, then saw some teens hiding in the bushes. He saw that several walls had been spray-painted, and tried to catch the teens but they escaped. The other kids talking in the parking lot said the suspects were recent graduates. Windows broken Two homes under construction by Parker Homes in the 1200 block of 211th Avenue Northeast had their windows shot at, possibly with a pellet gun, according to a police report from June 20. Attempted burglary A woman who lives in the 21000 block of Main Street told police on June 17 that she found footprints on a porch railing underneath a window at her home. She believes that someone has tried to get into her house four times in recent months.
