Girl Scout cookies on sale now

The Girl Scout Cookie Sale will take place in Washington from Feb 28 to March 16 with six different cookie options including Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos, Trefoils and Savannah Smiles.

A portion of the money raised from the sales will go directly to local troops selling cookies, allowing them to finance program goals and activities such as field trips, camp outings and community service projects. The remainder helps make Girl Scouting available to every girl in western Washington who would like to participate. Proceeds also help Girl Scouts of Western Washington recruit and train volunteers, maintain campgrounds and support initiatives such as outreach, science activities, career workshops and financial assistance.

Boxes are $4 and only some areas accepting credit card payments. To find Girl Scouts selling cookies near you, visit
