Dog spanking
A Issaquah woman called 911 after her son-in-law “spanked” her dog at 8:28 p.m. on Aug. 26 at a home in the 700 block of 7th Avenue Northwest. The woman took her dog to a friend’s house.
Auto thefts
A 1996 Honda Civic was stolen sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 26 in the 900 block of Lake Drive. A 1993 Honda Accord was reported stolen at 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 27 from the Red Robin parking lot at 1085 Lake Drive. A 1998 Honda Civic was reported stolen at 10:46 p.m. on Aug. 27 from the parking lot in front of Panera Bread, 755 N.W. Gilman Blvd. A 2001 Mazda Millenium was stolen sometime during the night of Aug. 27 from the 23400 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road.
Baby doll safe
Police responded to reports of an infant locked in a car at 11:52 a.m. on Aug. 27 in the Target parking lot. Entry was attempted without success by police officers and firefighters. When the owner of the car returned, the infant was found to be a life-sized doll in a car seat covered with a blanket.
Drug arrest
A 54-year-old Oregon man was arrested at 6:21 p.m. on Aug. 27 at the Motel 6 at 1885 15th Place N.W. on suspicion possession of marijuana, a report said.
