Public invited to aquatic meeting
The city of Issaquah is holding a public workshop on Sept. 24 to discuss future plans for the city’s aquatic facility.
City officials want to know whether they should proceed with plans to construct and or renovate an aquatic facility. The study will comparatively evaluate location, size, program elements, facility configuration, capital and operating expenses, funding and market potential.
The first of the two meetings will be at 7 p.m. on Sept. 24 at Tibbetts Creek Manor.

School to hold open house
Community members are invited to an open house at Rachel Carson Elementary School from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 2.
Students will conduct tours at 15-minute intervals, barbecue dinners will be available for purchase, and the Eastlake Pep Band will perform. Carson staff members will also lead attendees in a cheer and song.
To participate in the “baby shower” to welcome the school to the community, check Target’s Baby Registry.
To attend, RSVP to the school by Sept. 26.
