Police, Marines play Santa

This year Sammamish City Police Detective Amy Jarboe and a number of local police officers joined forces with the United States Marine Corp outfit from Fort Lewis to raise toys and money for children and families in need as part of the Marine’s Toys for Tots program. The kind makeshift Santas raised $5,000 in cash, and enough toys to fill a six-wheel army supply truck. City staff also contributed, raising money to buy nine bikes.
