December 19, 2011 · Updated 8:30 AM
Traffic on Interstate 90 is being disrupted, with snowfalls making conditions treacherous.
At 11:35 a.m. today, Tuesday, March 31, the Washington State Department of Transportation put out a notice saying that eastbound traffic had been stopped due to numerous vehicles losing traction and blocking the roadway.
The area affected is: Eastbound Interstate 90 at milepost 47 Denny Creek, five miles west of the summit.
At 12.30 p.m., an alert was released saying that traffic had been cleared.
Motorists are reminded that weather and road conditions can change rapidly and should plan accordingly.
