Gavin Shumaker takes a practice swing in the Seattle Mariner’s batting circle Saturday afternoon.
The game with Ingraham marked the sixth time in the last three years the Issaquah baseball team has played at Safeco Field.
They defeated the non-league Rams 8-0 in the High School Baseball Classic and now have a 4-2 overall record on the field, which includes a state title in 2007 and a third place finish in 2008.
