The Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is asking drivers to plan ahead if they will be crossing Lake Washington this week. WSDOT will close all lanes of I-90 between Island Crest Way and Interstate 5 at various times from Thursday, Aug. 5 through Sunday, Aug. 8 to accommodate the Blue Angel practices and performances. To keep congestion to a minimum, drivers are asked to use an alternate route such as I-405 or SR-520. If you must cross Lake Washington using the I-90 bridge, WSDOT requests that you arrive at the bridge an hour before closing. For more information, please see the WSDOT website. I-90 Bridge Closure Schedule Thursday, Aug. 5 - 9:45 a.m. to noon and 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (The center roadway will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) Friday, Aug. 6 - 12:45 p.m. to 2:40 p.m. (The center roadway will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) Saturday, Aug. 7 and Sunday, Aug. 8 - 12:45 p.m. to 2:40 p.m. (The center roadway will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) Please note: The bike and pedestrian path on the bridge will close up to 30 minutes before the above closure times.
