Business threatens city of Sammamish staff | Police Blotter

The blotter consists of officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the cities of Issaquah and Sammamish. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Sammamish

Aug. 1

Bedroom window entrance: At 11:36 a.m. in the 21000 block of NE 11th St., an unknown suspect opened an unlocked bedroom window and gained access to the victim’s bedroom while the homeowner was away.

Aug. 2

Business threatens city: At 4:16 p.m. at Sammamish City Hall, someone from a business made an intimidating and threatening phone call to city staff.

Aug. 3

Can’t trick the city: At 9:54 a.m., the city of Sammamish received emails from an unknown person posing as an unidentified person, asking for a wire transfer.

Mom versus son: At 11:05 a.m. in the 3400 block of 2nd Court St. SE, police were dispatched to a residence after receiving a call that a 14-year-old grabbed his mom during a fight.

Reckless driving: At 11:10 p.m. in the 300 block of 228th Ave. SE, police arrested a driver who was racing within city limits, and failed to transfer a title within 45 days.

Party on a school roof: At 10:35 a.m. at Skyline High School, a reporting party called police to notify them that the night before some juveniles had gone up on the roof the school and left beer cans and broke some plastic chairs. Police determined that the students accessed the roof through via the girls locker room hanging roof.

Just snapping shots of people in swimsuits: At 12:46 p.m. at Pine Lake Park, police determined that a subject was likely taking photos of subjects, both adults and juveniles in their swimsuits, at the beach. The subject refused to show police their photos, but they agreed to reformat their memory card to destroy the photos. However, the suspect had already removed and destroyed the memory card. The suspect was trespassed from the park.

Aug. 4

Mail theft: At 9 a.m. in the 2200 block of SE 4th St., a locked mailbox was forced open and mail was taken. The suspect also opened two packages and took the contents.

More mail theft: At 6:20 p.m. in the 2000 block of 216th Ave. SE, multiple locked mailboxes were forced open with a screwdriver or small pry tool and mail was stolen.

Aug. 6

Package theft: At 3:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of 272nd Place SE, a victim’s packages were stolen off their front porch.

Aug. 8

Indecent liberties: At 10:24 a.m. in the 4000 block of 245th Ave. SE, a mother’s boyfriend’s son inappropriately touched the mother’s daughter.

Suspicious scrawl: At 9:20 p.m. in the 24900 block of SE 41st Drive, a victim discovered suspicious writings in chalk on the sidewalk in front of their house.
