Early results come in for Sammamish city council elections

The King County Election results updated at 4 p.m. on Nov.8 with early numbers at Sammamish’s four open City Council positions.

For council Position 1, Jason Ritchie leads with 57.15 percent. His opponent, Mark Baughman, had 42.85 percent.

Council Position 3 has Karen Moran leading at 54.04 percent, followed by Karen Howe at 45.96 percent.

In council Position 5, Chris Ross leads with 54.6 percent. Rituja Indapure is behind 45.4 percent.

Council Position 6 had the biggest difference in early voting results with Pam Stuart taking 62.3 percent. John Robinson had 37.7 percent. King County has counted 328,478 ballots with 63,160 still left to count. The next update to the election results will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
