Elderly couple locked inside cemetery | Issaquah Police Blotter May 26 – June 1

GRAVE ENCOUNTER: At 8:05 p.m., an elderly couple got locked inside the Lower Hillside Cemetery, located in the 100 block of Mt. Olympus Drive SW.

READY FOR A DUEL: A man was seen at 6:44 p.m. in the 100 block of E. Sunset Way carrying a large knife and sitting on a park bench. When police arrived he was walking towards the Issaquah Senior Center. He had the knife in a sheath in the side pocket of his backpack. Police advised him to keep the knife sheathed until he returned to the woods.

EVERYDAY I’M SHUFFLING: Police received a report at 4:28 a.m. of a male dancing in the parking lot of the Starbucks in the 900 block of NE Park Drive. Upon arrival, they found him shuffling in place.

THE PREGNANT MAN: A man attempted to steal three pregnancy tests from the Rite Aid in the 1000 block of NW Gilman Blvd. at 5:32 p.m.

May 30

SECRET AGENT MAN: A woman in the 2900 block of NE Davis Loop told police at 2:21 p.m. that her ex-boyfriend had installed spyware on her computer.

FULL OF BEANS: Police found a person trying to warm a can of beans over a campfire at 11:01 p.m. in the 100 block of NE Creek Way. The person told police that he was trying to warm the beans because he has contracted botulism in the past by eating canned food without heating it up. Police told him he could not make a campfire.

CRUNCH BAR CAN LEAD TO CRUNCHED CAR: A driver was driving recklessly at 12:09 p.m. at the intersection of East Sunset Way and Second Avenue Northeast. The driver was not determined to be driving drunk. He told police he had been trying to open a candy wrapper while behind the wheel.

June 1

ON A TRIP WITH MARY JANE: A complaint was made at 2:53 p.m. of a suspicious person in an RV park in the 600 block of First Ave. NE. Police contacted the suspicious person, who stated that he was having unexpected side effects after using weed.
