Wellman edges past Litzow in 41st District Senate race | Primary election 2016

The latest round of primary election results show Democratic challenger Lisa Wellman in front of Republican incumbent Steve Litzow in the 41st District Senate race.

The latest round of primary election results show Democratic challenger Lisa Wellman in front of Republican incumbent Steve Litzow in the 41st District Senate race.

Friday afternoon’s update from King County Elections showed Wellman ahead of Litzow by 111 votes, with 48.31 percent of the vote to Litzow’s 47.89.

Other incumbents still lead in their respective races. Democrat Mark Mullet still holds a slim lead over Republican challenger Chad Magendanz in the 5th District Senate race. Mullet turned out 50.6 percent to Magendanz’s 49.27 and leads by 350 votes.

Tana Senn continues to hold a comfortable lead over challenger John Pass in the 41st District House Position 1 race with a 64.57 percent turnout.

Judy Clibborn is ahead in the 41st District House Position 2 race with 54.93 percent of the vote. Michael Appleby is Clibborn’s nearest challenger, drawing 33.51 percent.

Democrat Roger Goodman leads Sammamish Deputy Mayor Ramiro Valderrama in the race for the 45th District House Position 1 seat with 61.81 percent of the vote.

Republican incumbent Jay Rodne leads Democratic challenger Jason Ritchie in the race for the 5th District House Position 1 seat with 54.63 percent to Ritchie’s 45.24 percent.

Republican Paul Graves leads the 5th District House Position 2 race with 46.42 percent approval. Darcy Burner turned out 36.64 percent and Matt Larson earned 16.87 percent.
