DENISE L. DENGEL

Denise L. Dengel passed away at her home in Tacoma on July 15, 2017. She was born October 27, 1964 in Bellevue and grew up in Issaquah, WA.

Denise leaves behind her mother, Darlene Sweeney, of Redmond and her soul mate, Charles DeMarre, of Tacoma. She was preceded in death by her father Ronald Dengel, and brothers Russell and Scott Dengel, of Issaquah.

Denise graduated from Issaquah High School in 1983 and then attended Washington State University, graduating in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Arts. Denise’s career focused on social work and in particular working with homeless teens. Early in her career she was very active in AIDS awareness and education, she made a huge impact on the lives of the homeless kids she worked with.

Denise was very active in volunteering with the National MPS Society; she even served on the Board of Directors.

Denise traveled the world and was an avid concert goer. Denise leaves behind a HUGE family of friends. She was loved and admired by all that knew her. Denise was a cherished treasure to all.
