Karen Parlet

Karen passed away May 15, 2014 in her home in Issaquah.

She was born August 14, 1947 in Provo, Utah to Lucille and Del Roy Zobell. She was raised in Provo and graduated from Provo High School. Karen married Mike Parlet in Maui, Hawaii on July 12, 1989. She and Mike bought their home together on the Issaquah Plateau in 1989 where they have remained residents. Karen worked in Financial Management for the Boeing Company until her retirement in 1997.

Karen was a very talented artist. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, zip-lining and parasailing, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Karen was a beautiful woman: she is remembered as being strong and feisty, yet compassionate and generous.

She is also survived by her brother Dick Zobell of Provo, UT, her sister Charlotte Hokanson of Pocatello, ID and her brother Sheldon Zobell of Issaquah, WA. She will be missed by her beloved grandchildren: Alexa, Logan, Sophia, Mykayla, Ryder and Mavrik (who is due June 2014).

Her celebration of life will begin at 12 noon on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Flintoft’s Funeral Home 540 East Sunset Way, Issaquah, WA 98027. She will be laid to rest at Upper Hillside Cemetery, Issaquah, WA.
