Kerry Juliann (Bolint) McConnell

1959 – 2008Kerry McConnell, devoted and beloved wife, loving daughter, sister and aunt, went to be with the Lord on 12/1/08 at age 49. Born 7/6/59 in Long Beach, CA., Kerry was a resident of Bellevue for about 10 years after moving from the Los Angeles area.Kerry loved God, her family and serving others with compassion. She actively served in several local organizations including her church. She cared for abused women and the homeless. Kerry was a former Diplomat with the Seattle Chamber of Commerce. Her career in sales spanned over two decades in the fabric/design, telecommunications and hotel industries. While in the Los Angeles area, Kerry co-owned a cellular telecommunications business. She was honored as “Small Business Woman of the Year” while working in Reno. She loved interacting with people — always with a sense of joy, humor and enthusiasm. Kerry loved the natural scenery of the Pacific Northwest. She expressed herself with passion and creativity. She enjoyed movies, art and the theater. As an animal lover, Kerry was outspoken about justice for all domestic and wild animals.Kerry is survived by her husband, Scott McConnell (Bellevue, WA); her siblings Larry Bolint (Grants Pass, OR), Gerry Bolint (Stockton, CA) and Terri Bonsangue (Gold Beach, OR); and her niece Amanda Bolint and nephews, Jeff and Bryan Bolint. While growing-up in Long Beach, CA, she attended Prisk Elementary, Stanford Middle School and Millikan High School. Kerry graduated from high school early and attended Long Beach City College where she obtained her AA degree. Later she majored in Psychology at Cal State – Long Beach. She excelled in her studies and was a top honors student. Kerry was very active in sports and especially loved to swim.A memorial service was held on Dec. 11th at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue. Remembrances can be made to Residence XII in Kirkland, WA, The Humane Society or Animal Shelter.
