Tacoma's achievement/funny money | Editorials

Go Tacoma

A website, Moving.com, has ranked Tacoma as one of the top “10 Best Cities for Millenials,” based on affordable housing, low unemployment, and access to nearby attractions and education.

Wow, we say.

But wait. Before you pack up the moving van, the site also says that the metropolitan area of Tacoma includes Bellevue and Seattle.

Well, of course.

Dubious achievement

A new study shows that Seattle is the fourth-most-congested city in North Americas. The Tom Tom traffic-data company says January snowstorms, the start of tolling on the 520 bridge and general slowdowns contributed to the ranking.

Wonder how high the area will climb in the rankings if we get a new sports stadium in Seattle’s Sodo district?
