Empoli FC, a professional Italian soccer organization, will have its FIFA scout in Bellevue at Robinswood Park to give area players ages 13-21 the chance to earn a contract with the club.
The trial will take place July 16-20 at the Robinswood Park turf fields and offer players a chance to win a fully paid month-long trip to Italy.
"This is a fabulous opportunity for the soccer players of Washington," Empoli FC International scout Luis Pomares said. "Our integration policy at Empoli for international players is second to none and we welcome this chance to offer a true, Italian soccer experience."
During the first month for those selected, there will also be an opportunity to secure a nine-month contract with the club while also gaining credits at the National School of Assisi for those who are full-time students.
Registration for the week of trials is $195 and can be completed online at islanderfc.com or on the club's telephone hotline at 206-335-7321.
