Eastlake girls first, boys third at Twilight

The Eastlake cross country team put together a solid showing at the Twilight Invitational in Marysville, as the girls took the top spot via tie-breaker and boys were third.

Jordan Oldenberg was the top finisher on the boys side for Eastlake in 10th place overall, and Nicole Stinnett was 22nd to lead the Eastlake girls.

The Wolves took an early lead and held on down the stretch on four Drew Lewis touchdowns.

Eastlake will host Woodinville in another Crown Division matchup Friday with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

Roosevelt 21 Issaquah 17

The Roughriders erased a late deficit with a fourth quarter touchdown to stun the Eagles.

Issaquah will travel to Memorial Stadium for a 7 p.m. game against Garfield on Saturday.

Skyline 67 Garfield 16

The Bulldogs posed little threat to the top-ranked team in Class 4A, as Skyline built a near-40 point advantage at the end of the first quarter and rolled to the blowout win.

Coach Mat Taylor's Spartans will host Ballard before a showdown for the Crest at Newport the following week.

Eastside Catholic 22 Seattle Prep 6

Eastside erased an early deficit on touchdowns from Trey Reynolds and Brandon Wellington.

Rainier Beach will be the visitor on Friday at 7 p.m. for the still undefeated Crusaders.
