Tallman earns individual KingCo 3A golf title

Issaquah senior Brittany Tallman continued her dominant season Tuesday afternoon, winning the KingCo 3A crown at Snohomish Golf Course. The defending 3A state champion shot a 72 on the par 73 course. Mount Si’s Katie Somers came in second with a 75. The Eagles also earned a 10th place finish from Cory Burke, who tied Interlake’s McKenzie Ballod with an 87. Issaquah finished third as a team, shooting a combined 451. Mercer Island won the tournament with a 433, while Interlake was second at 448. Skyline was fourth with a 461. Meaghan Madgett finished in a tie for eighth place with Bellevue’s Catelyn Webber, shooting an 86. The Sea-King District tournament begins Monday, May 12 at River Bend Golf Complex in Kent.
