Kinnear, Taylor win titles

Eastlake freshman Katie Kinnear and Skyline junior Andie Taylor each won two individual district swimming titles at the SeaKing District 4A meet Saturday in Juanita.
Kinnear helped Eastlake finish fourth overall, winning the 50 freestyle (24.26 seconds) and 100 butterfly (56.55). Taylor won the 100 free (50.67) and 200 individual medley (1 minute, 58.59 seconds) and helped Skyline take fifth place overall.
Issaquah’s Helen Liu was second in the 100 fly (58.91) and third in the 50 free (24.75). The Eagles finished 11th out of 12 teams. Garfield edged Ballard by one point, taking the district crown with 169 points.
The 4A state meet runs Nov. 14-15 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
