Issaquah wins state title

The Issaquah Eagles girls Cross Country team won the Class 4A state championship, compiling 90 total team points (low score wins in Cross Country) at the state meet on Nov. 5 in Pasco. The Camas Papermakers finished in second place with 108 team points. Kenna Clawson captured ninth place individually with a time of 18:32.4. Sami Corman earned 14th place and Katie Riley captured 15th place individually. Eastlake’s Brooke Manson captured 25th place overall.

Eagles capture ninth place at state championship meet

The Issaquah Eagles boys Cross Country team nabbed ninth place at the Class 4A state cross country meet, compiling 219 team points on Nov. 5 in Pasco. Issaquah’s top two finishers individually were Sam Griffith (31st place) and Luke George (32nd place).

Spartans nab 10th-place finish at state meet

The Skyline Spartans boys cross country team collected 10th place at the Class 4A state cross country meet, tallying 221 team points on Nov. 5 in Pasco. Skyline’s top finisher individually was William Kimball (38th place).

Eastlake athlete earns fifth place individually

Eastlake Wolves junior Nate Pendleton registered a seventh-place finish individually at the Class 4A state cross country meet, clocking a time of 15:42.40.

Eagles punch ticket to state tournament

The Issaquah Eagles volleyball team earned a berth in the Class 4A state volleyball tournament with a 3-1 win against the Eastlake Wolves in a loser-out game on Nov. 5. The Eagles will face the Bellarmine Prep Lions in the first round of the Class 4A state tournament at 9:45 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.

Crusaders cruise past Mount Spokane

The Eastside Catholic Crusaders cruised to a 43-17 win against Mount Spokane in a winner-to-state, loser-out district playoff game on Nov. 5. The Crusaders (9-1) will face Timberline in the first round of the Class 3A state playoffs.

Eastlake dominates Kentwood

The Eastlake Wolves turned in a dominating performance, rolling to a 48-0 win against the Kentwood Conquerors in a winner-to-state, loser-out playoff game on Nov 4. The Wolves (7-3) will host their rival, the Skyline Spartans in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs at 7 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Eastlake High School in Sammamish.

Skyline earns convincing win against Mount Rainier

The Skyline Spartans defeated Mount Rainier 41-7 in a winner-to-state, loser-out playoff game on Nov. 4. The Spartans will face the Eastlake Wolves in the first round of Class 4A state playoffs at 7 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Eastlake High School in Sammamish.
