The Issaquah boys track and field team defeated Woodinville 90-55 on Thursday behind 11 first-place finishes. The Eagles were led by Ryan Tiernan’s two first places in the 110 high hurdles (15.8 seconds) and 300 hurdles (41), and Kyle Hansen’s wins in the 200 (23.4) and long jump (20 feet, 3 inches).
The Issaquah girls 800 meter relay team of Johanna Carr, Kaley Allison, Kim Varney and Haley Jacobson are currently ranked No. 1 in the state with a top time of 1 minute, 45.7 seconds. The team has the fastest mark among relay teams from the 1B through 4A classifications.

Eastside Catholic won its first game of the 2009 season Monday, beating Newport 3-0 at the University of Washington Ballpark.
Matt Boyd pitched six innings, striking out seven and allowing just two hits. Sam Lindquist struck out three in the seventh to earn the save. Jake Gober was 1-for-2 with an RBI for the Crusaders.
