Skyline defeats Bothell, North Creek in double dual

The Skyline Spartans wrestling team registered a 42-27 victory against the Bothell Cougars and a 37-32 win against North Creek in a double dual on Jan. 11. Spartans grapplers capturing victories against North Creek consisted of Mason Melendez (pin), Kenta Despe (pin), Maxmilian Huff (pin), Nick Beatty (pin), Aiden Cone (pin), Cole Turner (major decision) and Michael Oss (decision). Skyline grapplers earning wins against Bothell were Beatty (forfeit), Nathan Daelia (forfeit), Cone (forfeit), Christopher Wharton (pin), Turner (pin), Huff (pin) and Despe (forfeit).

Skyline currently has an overall record of 4-1 in dual matchups during the 2017-18 season.

Mustangs earn victory in close match against Issaquah

The Redmond Mustangs wrestling team captured a 40-37 victory against the Issaquah Eagles on Jan. 12. Issaquah dropped to 3-1 overall with the loss.

Newport defeats Issaquah in KingCo 4A showdown

The Newport Knights boys swim team defeated the Issaquah Eagles 94-89 in a matchup between powerhouse swim programs on Jan. 11. Newport improved their overall record 5-0 with the win while Issaquah dropped to 4-1 with the loss.

Skyline registers triumph against Inglemoor

The Skyline Spartans improved their overall record to 3-2 courtesy of a 114-62 victory against the Inglemoor Vikings on Jan. 11.
