Issaquah sends two, Skyline one and Eastside Catholic one

Four area football players will compete in Saturday’s annual East-West All-State game. Issaquah lineman Dillon Reagan and tight end Sean Stuby will represent the Eagles. Lineman Grant Engel will represent Skyline and running back/defensive back Marion Bactol will represent Eastside Catholic. The game begins at 1 p.m. at Everett Memorial Stadium.

Sammamish teens place in youth rowing nationals

Three area teenagers participated in the Youth Rowing National Championships June 10-14, in Ohio, helping their Sammamish Rowing Association teams finish among the best in the nation. Maggie Yuse, a sophomore at Eastlake, was a member of the Women’s Youth Lightweight Eight-person team that finished fifth in the nation with a time of 7 minutes, 12.8 seconds. Kevin Klauer, a 2009 Eastlake graduate, and Jack Elder, a sophomore at Skyline, were a part of the Men’s Youth Lightweight eight-person team that finished seventh in the nation with a time of 6:14.83.

Belcher’s Boys Summer Youth Basketball Camp

Former Eastlake boys basketball coach Richard Belcher will host a youth summer camp July 20-24 at Evergreen Junior High for boys age 7-14. The camp will run daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is available at www.positiveplace.org or contact Richard Belcher at (425) 868-6840.
