Warm welcome of spring greets gathering of athletes on the Plateau

A warm spring day and blue skies greeted high school athletes at an invitational track and field meet on the Plateau on Saturday.

The best high school athletes from all over the Eastside and the Puget Sound area gathered on the Plateau on Saturday for the annual Eastlake High School Invitational Track and Field Meet.

Eastlake and Skyline athletes flew the flag for the city of Sammamish, battling against stiff competition from Gig Harbor, Juanita, Bellevue, Bothell, and Lake Washington high schools.
