Tacoma Glassblowing Studio is bringing more than 1,000 glass pumpkins to Pickering Barn this weekend, and the public is invited to wander through The Great Northwest Glass Pumpkin Patch on display Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. While the event is free, pumpkins are also available for purchase with most prices ranging from $35 to $95.

The studio has also created a 2010 signature pumpkin. A portion of the sales from this specially designed glass gourd will go to REACH ministries in Tacoma or to Kidstown International.

More information is available on the Northwest Glass Pumpkins website.
