Sammamish seniors 55 and older will have a chance to learn printmaking for free from renowned Issaquah artist, Gail Baker, beginning April 9.
The seven-week “Seniors Making Art” class runs from 10 a.m. to noon every Monday through May 21 at the Sammamish Teen Center.
Participants will learn how to make linoleum block printing, monoprints, collographs and incised foam prints.
No art experience is necessary.
Baker was a freelance art teacher in private and public schools in Washington and Alaska for 30 years. She has taught adults for over 16 years and her intention is to create a learning environment where experimentation and confidence are encouraged.
Registration may be made by contacting Allison Gubata at 425-295-0597 or agubata@ci.sammamish.wa.us.
