Eastside Catholic High School percussionist Roger Glerum along with two other area high-school musicians will perform with the Syngergia Northwest Orchestra in the Music Matters “LIVE!” concert on May 12 at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre.

Mercer Island cellist Norihiro Shiotsu and King’s High School violinist Andrew Brodsky are also participating in the event, which benefits school music programs throughout Washington state.

The annual concert features the orchestra along side of some of the Pacific Northwest’s most high profile rock and pop recording artists.

There will be performances by BRAD, featuring Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard and band co-founder Shawn Smith; Vicci Martinez, who captured a national audience on the first season of The Voice; Yes’s Grammy award-winning Alan White and White; X-Factor alumni LeRoy Bell and His Only Friends, Heart guitarist Howard Leese; gritty Americana-laced Star Anna and The Laughing Dogs; violinist Geoffrey Castle with 11 year old guitarist Caspian Coberly; and a first time dance and music performance by Dora Oliveira’s Samba Reggae Revolution comprised of young Seattle area dancers.
