District champs lead Issaquah-Sammamish competitors to state track and field meet | Prep sports news

Boys
Eastlake’s Ryan Lewis will be in the second heat in the 100 meters after capturing the district title and will be joined by Issaquah’s Kyle Farmer.
Lewis will also run in the 200 meters for the Wolves.
Drew Matthews, who won the 400 meters at the district meet, will run in the 200 and 400 at state for Skyline.
Jamon Rogers will represent the Spartans in the 800 and Jordan Oldenburg will do the same for Eastlake.
District champion Keegan Symmes will be in the 3,200 meter field for Skyline.
Liam Doyle, Josh Horton, Colton Teglovic and Drew Lewis will take a district title winning time into the 400 meter relay for the Wolves.
Skyline will have a team in the 1,600 meter relay with Matthews, Rogers, Trevon Clark and Andrew Millett looking to run down another title after winning the district championship.
Jorrell Dorsey will be in the long jump and triple jump for Issaquah and will be joined in the triple by Eastlake’s Daniel Brady.
Gino Bresolin will throw the shot put and discus for the Wolves to round out the field on the boys side.
Girls
Gabrielle Gevers will be in the 100 and 200 meter dashes for Issaquah while teammate Juliana da Cruz runs the 400. Amanda Chalfant is in the first heat of the 800 meters for the Eagles.
Emily Dwyer will run the 3,200 for Eastlake and Lauren Bruner will be in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles for Issaquah.
Eastlake’s Lauren Files will be in the 300 meter hurdles after capturing the championship in the event at districts.
The Eagles’ district champion 800 meter relay team of Madison Callan, Cruz, Mack Wieburg and Gevers will be in the first heat at state while Skyline’s Dorie Dalzell, Alexis Daugherty, Maddi Hutson and Kaylie Greninger will be in the second heat.
Dalzell and Daugherty will be joined by Mackenzie Deutsch and Maria Volodkevich in the 1,600 meter relay, which they won at districts. Issaqauh’s team will also be in the field in the second heat.
Sydney Tingey will be in the high jump along with Issaquah’s Wieburg while Eva Perry will represent the Eagles in the pole vault after winning the event at districts.
Anna Carskaden of Eastlake will compete in the long jump.
The 4A state track and field meet is at Mount Tahoma Stadium on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
