Brian Mogg, who finished in a tie for third place at the 4A state golf tournament during the prep season, captured a championship at the Bellevue Classic with a 71-71-142, taking the title by three strokes at Bellevue Golf Course. The win was the first in a non-junior tournament for Mogg.
Eastlake’s Li Wang, the runner-up at the state meet, finished in seventh place at the Bellevue Classic, which counts Fred Couples among its previous champions.
