Sammamish artists display combined works June 29

The Sammamish Arts Commission will soon display the work of two Sammamish artists – Carol Ross and Anna Macrae – in a combined art exhibit, “An Artistic Journey.”

The exhibition will open at the Commons Gallery of the Sammamish City Hall on Friday, June 29, 2012 with an artists’ reception from 6-8 p.m.

It will remain on view until Oct. 10.

Ross and Macrae are established local artists who have given their time and talent to build and support a vibrant visual arts community for Sammamish and the Eastside.

Macrae’s abstract expressionistic paintings respond to color, texture and forms found in nature and are a compliment to the landscapes of Ross, whose ethereal work is emotionally laden. Together their work finds common ground and contrasts in space and architecture.
