Eastside Catholic 65 Blanchet 59

Mandrell Worthy scored 22 points to lead the Crusaders to the win over Metro League foe Blanchet.

Ian Christie scored 13 and Matisse Thybulle added 11 more for Eastside Catholic.

Bothell 78 Eastlake 58

The Wolves got 20 points from Mick Vorhof and 18 more from Davis Woerner in the loss.

Eastlake faces Newport at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Bellevue before traveling to Woodinville Friday.

Skyline 54 Newport 58

Skyline let an early lead slip against the Knights, falling 58-54 despite 19 points from Robert Biegaj.

Jonah Eastern and Blake O’Brien combined for 19 more points in the loss.

Ballard 90 Issaquah 83

Jake Henke scored 18 points and Ty Gibson and Cory Nevin each added 17 for the Eagles in the 90-83 loss to Ballard.

Nick Brown led three Beavers with 20-plus points.

Girls basketball

Eastside Catholic 35 Blanchet 65

The Braves ran away behind a double-digit halftime lead and won 65-35 over Eastside Catholic.

Ashley Blanton scored 10 to pace the Crusaders.

Eastlake 66 Bothell 32

Marijke Vanderschaaf led the Lady Wolves with 20 points and Rachel Lortenson scored 16 more as Eastlake made short work of Bothell.

Issaquah 42 Ballard 53

The Beavers took the win and dropped the Eagles to 7-3 in the conference.

Newport 55 Skyline 45

The Spartans were unable to overcome Newport’s Casey Schoenlein as the Knights won by 10.
