Eastlake put together a run worthy of a place in the history books of the program, claiming a 4A KingCo tournament title and earning the program’s first state tournament berth in more than a decade.

But the Wolves’ run came to an end at Art Wright Field in Kent in a 7-1 loss to Kentridge in the first round of the 4A state baseball tournament.

Eastlake fell in a 3-0 hole and was unable to dig its way out in the loss.

Skyline boys fall

Skyline was unable to reach the final four of the 4A boys soccer state tournament, falling 2-1 to Snohomish in the quarterfinals.

Tanner Corrie opened the scoring with a second half goal for the Panthers, before Blake Crutchfield provided the insurance tally.

Nick Morgan pulled the Spartans within one on a Nate Hardwick assist two minutes later before Snohomish held on for the win.
