The Julius Boehm Pool will welcome guests ahead of an initially projected Sept. 8 reopening following nearly a year of closure for renovation.

The city of Issaquah’s Parks and Recreation department has invited the public to a grand reopening celebration to be held at noon Aug. 25.

The pool, located on Southeast Clark Street, closed in November to begin a $5 million project adding accommodations for disabled guests, new locker rooms, benches, energy efficient LED lights, an improved climate control system, high-efficiency boilers, a new reception area and plastic pool liners.

The renovation additionally included the installation of “KERSPLOOSH!,” a 120-square-foot glass shard mosaic by Benson Shaw.

Following the grand reopening ceremony, the pool will be open to free public swim until 5 p.m.
